How does Email to Phone Service work?
Outbound:
eMail2Phone.net converts email messages
sent to your yourname@eMail2Phone.net email account into high-quality
voice messages that are then delivered to your phone number. You can also reply
to an eMail2Phone.net message on your
phone. You do so by recording a voice message on your phone, which is received
as a reply email. The reply email contains a link that contains the voice reply
message as a .WAV file.
When you create an
account with eMail2Phone.net, you will be
assigned an email address, similar to yourname@eMail2Phone.net. Then,
you can set your regular email service to forward emails to eMail2Phone.net, or
use eMail2Phone.net as your everyday email.
Once you've set up your email account with eMail2Phone.net,
emails that are received by the service are converted into a high-quality voice
messages and delivered to your phone number.
The receiver of the
eMail2Phone.net phone message has the option to reply to the
sender. The receiver speaks their reply into the phone, which is recorded as a
voice .WAV file on the eMail2Phone.net system.
Simultaneously, a text
email, with a link in it indicating that there is a reply from the receiver, is
sent back to the original sender. The original sender can now click on the link
provided in the text email. That link will allow the original sender to play
the recorded .WAV file response by the receiver.
Inbound: Using any phone line, you can dial into your email
and choose the messages you want to listen to as high-quality voice files. The
system will ask you for your personal identification number (PIN) in order to
log-in. Then, the eMail2Phone.net system will tell you how many new and saved
messages you have.
You're able to preview these new messages by listening to the "Subject" of each
message. After listening to the "Subject" of a message you can follow the phone
prompts to skip to the next new message, delete the message, save all the
messages, or listen to the body of the message.
After you have listened
to the body of a message you have the option of replying to the message,
repeating the message, or saving the message.
You also have the
option to listen to the "Subject" of your saved messages. Similar to new
messages, after listening to the "Subject" of a saved message you can follow
the phone prompts to skip to the next saved message, delete the message,
re-save the messages, or listen to the body of the message. After you have
listened to the body of a saved message you have the option of replying to the
message, repeating the message, or saving the message.
Moreover, the system
will ask you if you want to skip all of your saved messages and in order to
only listen to your new messages. If you choose to reply to a saved or new
message, you will be prompted to record a message into the phone that is then
sent to the person you are replying to as a link in an email that downloads a
voice recording of the message onto their computer.
When the .WAV file
downloads the user can either "Open," Save," or "Cancel" the file. If they open
the file the .WAV file can be listened to on most computers with audio software
and speakers. Or, the user can save the .WAV file and listen to it later, or
send it to another email address if they choose to. By "canceling" the file
download, the .WAV file will not run.
