What an alert actually costs
Email2Phone charges by call time, not by user, and calls phones in any country. A minute costs 1 credit to the US and Canada and 1–6 credits everywhere else. A typical alert — "CRITICAL: web-01 is DOWN" — plays in under a minute, so one alert is usually one credit. Check the rate for your own number.
| Typical use | Alert calls / month | Plan | Monthly cost | Cost per alert |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| One admin, CRITICAL-only from one monitoring tool | 15 | Basic | $10 | $0.67 (25 credits unused) |
| Freezer / temperature sensors, two phones rung simultaneously | 40 | Basic | $10 | $0.25 |
| Small MSP, several clients' monitoring, on-call rotation | 300 | Advanced | $100 | $0.33 |
| Multi-site operations, team-wide announcements | 2,500 | Premium | $400 | $0.16 |
With voicemail off on the phone, calls nobody acknowledges are retried at 5, 15, 30, 60 and again at 60 minutes. Dial-in to replay messages is free on every plan.
Call rates by country
Pick your country and enter the number you want called — the calculator returns the exact credit cost per minute for that destination.
Charges
Charges occur at the beginning of the month for the amount of the package price. The first monthly fee is prorated from the day of subscription to the end of the month. If more credits are used than have been purchased in a package the extra credits will be charged to your credit card at the end of the month. There are no setup fees and no contracts.
Pricing questions
What is a call credit?
One credit pays for up to 60 seconds of call time. A minute to a US or Canadian number is 1 credit; every other country is 1 to 6 credits per minute depending on the destination. Most alert calls finish inside the first minute, so one alert usually equals one credit.
How much does one alert call cost?
On the Basic plan, $10 buys 40 credits, so an alert to a US or Canadian phone costs $0.25 or less. On Advanced it is $0.20 and on Premium about $0.13. With voicemail off on the phone, calls nobody acknowledges are retried at 5, 15, 30, 60 and again at 60 minutes.
Which plan fits an IT administrator?
An admin who routes only CRITICAL and DOWN notifications to a call typically receives 5 to 30 calls a month and stays inside the Basic plan at $10. Teams monitoring many systems or ringing several phones per alert usually choose Advanced.
Which countries can Email2Phone call?
Any of them. Email2Phone places calls to phones worldwide — mobile, landline or VoIP. Rates vary by destination: 1 credit per minute to the US and Canada, 1 to 6 credits per minute elsewhere. Use the calculator on this page for the exact rate for a given number.
Are there setup fees or contracts?
No setup fee and no contract. Plans are billed monthly at the start of the month; the first month is prorated from the day you subscribe. Credits used beyond the plan are billed at the end of the month.
What does the free trial include?
The 30-day trial delivers up to three emails a day as voice calls and includes dial-in access, so you can connect a real monitoring tool or sensor and test it before choosing a plan.
Not sure which plan? Start the free 30-day trial, connect one real alert source, and see how many calls a month you actually get. Details on how filters, retries and multiple numbers work are in the email to phone call guide.
